Agency Owner Randy Long has “been there, done that”

Life’s experiences have taught insurance agent Randy Long many things. Starting his career as a travel agent, Long has traveled the world over and continues to do so, recently returning from a “spring break” trip to China with his wife Mary and teenagers, Amanda, Andrew and Stephanie.

All avid certified scuba divers, the family frequently make trips to popular dive destinations around the world, most recently in Bermuda. Last year the Longs were seen dog-sledding on a glacier in Alaska!

Randy originally came to Arizona from Illinois, selling his travel agency to open a hot air balloon ride business. The business opened in 1991 with Long as the sole pilot with one balloon
accommodating two passengers. When Long sold the business in 2003 it had nearly 50 employees and ten twelve-passenger balloons, flying around 15,000 passengers each year! He has logged over 2000 flights as pilot-in-command and flown in many parts of the world including England and France.

After selling the balloon business he purchased a 42 passenger, 1200 horsepower jet boat which operated passenger tours on local lakes.

Through his entrepreneurial quests, Randy learned a great deal about the insurance needs of the business community: Business Owners Policies, Key Man Insurance, Worker’s Compensation, Business Umbrella Coverage, Medical Plans and Business Auto are just a few of the business coverage’s
